The frame is coming together. Tops of the rear shocks welded on, they will be braced up and stabilised tomorrow. Diagonal pieces going on as well. Quality of the welding is still questionable but getting slightly better.

Another shot of the bits of frame going on.

Bits on the left support the suspension arm. Just have to put in a cross-piece to stabilise the rear-shock top, work out a brace system for the spring tops, then weld the assembly onto the main chassis base and we're almost there! Will be glad when those rusty bits of metal can be completely cut out.

Clear view of the frame. The centre of the cross-support has to come out, because it'll be in the way. The Generator is going to sit right where that cross-beam is. maybe. will have to think about that. will probably leave it in for stability for now. Midges stopped further work.

The site supervisor (some type of red-billed bird) is also supervising three eggs. Last year, we had wondered why a bird would hang about so much on the top of the wall. The nesting seagulls (on top of abandoned barn, right of picture) we had spotted but not these red-billed jobbies. Although, the seagulls were hard to ignore when they decided to dive-bomb Caroline the postlady, as well as us.
